Is the market to blame for the company's failure to achieve its performance targets?
Too often it is said that the reason a company did not achieve its performance targets is the market. When I hear this, the following question always comes to mind. Is the business of the company in question led by the company's management or the market? My answer to this question is that the company and its performance should always be led by the company's management, not the market. If the market were to lead the company, then what is the need for company management? At least not for the company's management to blame the market for the company's poor performance. In my understanding, this means that with this statement, the company's management is also stating its own inability to manage the company in such a way that the company achieves its performance targets.
When the conditions for the company's financial management are in order and the company is managed correctly, the company has the basic conditions to always achieve its performance targets. When these basic conditions are in place in a company, the company can continuously achieve its performance goals either by managing its markets correctly or by taking advantage of market opportunities and changes in the right way and at the right time. In my experience, excellent ways for a company to do this are: by developing the features of its existing products and services, by creating new products and services.
Are the things and principles I have presented above in place in your company?

I have written four books on creating the conditions for the company's financial management, and they are available in well-stocked bookstores and online bookstores in Finland, for example from BoD (Books On Demand) at:
